Cocktail Recipes - Rye & Shine
Master Cafe is not just a delicious and refreshing range of Iced Coffees in its own right, but also serve as a versatile ingredient to create a delightful range of cocktails. We love Iced Coffee, but we also love cocktails...combining the two was a no-brainer for us.
We have an expert team of mixologists (thank you Liquid Chefs) who have created a whole recipe book using the Classico, Mocha and Latte flavours and we will be releasing a new recipe each week on our blog.
For the whiskey lovers out there, we are starting with a cocktail called -
Rye & Shine
The beauty of this cocktail is that it is definitely worth a try even if you are not particularly partial to whiskey. Rye whiskey has a long tradition of being used in cocktails as it possesses wonderful high notes and spice because of the prolific use of virgin oak during maturation.
Its a smooth, creamy and sweet cocktail that's very simple to make, with the stronger classico coffee flavour and the honey syrup perfectly balancing the spice of the whiskey.
Rye & Shine:
35ml Rye Whiskey (we particularly liked it with Knob Creek Rye Whiskey, but most Rye's should do the trick)
12.5ml Honey Syrup
150ml Ice Coffee Classico
Mix the ingredients together and shake hard ready to pour into a glass over cubed ice. Garnish with an orange peel twist.
If you only want to use two ingredients in your cocktail, then we recommend the perfect pairing below -
200ml Ice Coffee Classico
35ml Dubliner Irish Honey Whiskey Liqueur
Again, shake up and serve over cubed ice.
The Dubliner Irish Whiskey Liqueur sees three great flavours combined into one gorgeous liqueur - honeycomb, caramel and Irish whiskey. Plenty sweet with a touch of spice giving depth at its core. The combination of the Dubliner and the small amount of milk in the Classico gives it a real Irish Coffee feel to it.
