You may have noticed our social media posts this week supporting UK Coffee Week and Project Waterfall, so we want to tell you all about the campaign and why Master Cafe got involved. 

UK Coffee Week is a week-long fundraising campaign that sees everyone in coffee disregard competition and come together to celebrate the drink we love while raising funds for the communities at its source.

Throughout UK Coffee Week, hundreds of coffee businesses of all shapes and sizes, including Master Cafe, are fundraising  by donating money from every cup of coffee served, every bag of coffee sold, or by running competitions.

Every penny raised during the week goes straight to the charity Project Waterfall – the charity of choice for the coffee industry, working to end the water crisis in our lifetime.

Master Cafe Iced Coffee signed up to the UK Coffee Week campaign supporting Project Waterfall because it is unconscionable that in today's world, so many communities still live without clean water, the fact that these communities are so often the same ones supplying our industry with our key ingredient - the coffee bean - makes it not just our duty, but our desire, to help where we can and work to give something back.

Our Iced Coffees include an infusion of Robusta beans which are sourced in Ethiopia, where 62 million people lack access to clean water, and diseases caused by drinking dirty water are the leading cause of death for children under 5 years old. 

Master Cafe is proud to support Project Waterfall's work supporting the Ethiopian community, along with the many other coffee-growing communities.

What is Master Cafe doing to support Project Waterfall and UK Coffee Week?

Since 14 October, we have donated £1 for every box of Master Cafe Iced Coffee purchased using the ‘UKCW10’ 10% discount code straight to Project Waterfall. This code will remain active until the end of 2020. We also ran a great Instagram competition alongside UK Coffee Week to win a box of Master Cafe.
